WHO WE ARE:

Somaliyey Toosa ODV is an association based in Forlì, active throughout the country. It was born from the commitment of groups of volunteer activists from the Somali diaspora, present in Italy for many years, who came together to offer concrete and humane support to people in need. The association’s mission is to support the most vulnerable segments of society, with particular attention to:

  1. New immigrants,
  2. Forgotten prisoners,
  3. Women in vulnerable situations,
  4. People hospitalized or suffering from serious pathologies,
  5. Those experiencing marginalization and suffering.

Support for New Immigrants

Guidance, listening, and assistance for those arriving in Italy seeking a dignified life.

Forgotten prisoners

Locating families of incarcerated individuals who have lost contact, bringing them news and comfort to their families.

Women in vulnerable situations

Somaliyey Toosa ODV empowers for women who have undergone infibulation to access health and social services by creating jobs and training programs for those women including those affected by divorce and displacement.

People hospitalized or suffering from serious pathologies

A Somali boy who was seriously injured at his workplace, who has been in hospital for more than two weeks, fortunately his brothers who live in one of these European countries, came to him, and Ms. Maryan said that she is also closely following his situation and is ready to support him.
